The sumo wrestler Kotooshu recieves Bulgaria`s highest distinction

Bulgaria`s President Georgi Parvanov will decorate Kaloyan Mahlyanov (born February 19, 1983 in town of Veliko Tarnovo) with the country`s highest distinction - Stara Planina Order 1st Class, Bulgaria`s Cabinet ruled yesterday. The distinction is due to Kotooshu`s active promotion of Bulgaria abroad.

Kaloyan Mahlyanov is Bulgaria`s best ambassador of good will in Japan, cabinet officials commented. Thanks to Kotooshu, Japan`s interest in Bulgaria has increased immensely. President Parvanov will have the final word on Kotooshu`s decoration with the highest state distinction.

Kotooshu is the strongest foreign sumo wrestler who competes in Japan. He is part of the world sumo history. Kotooshu is the first European to win the Emperor`s Cup.
